All children... grow up.

So, I' ve been watching Greek, again. And some things got me thinking. When your young and full of energy and you're enjoying life to the full, that's the time when you believe that you can do anything, that you can be anyone you want, that you can conquer the world. And most of all, you still believe that the day after will always be even better then the one before. When you're a kid, you don't have to think about your future, how are you going to make it through all those exams, how you're going to make money, who you're going to marry, how you'll be spending your days... You live for the day. Life is easy when you're a kid. Every day is great and the next one too and the next one and so on. But the older you get, the more you have to think about the day after the present one. You have to think about your distant future, because it's not that far anymore. One day it's going to crash into you like a train. And you have to be prepared to manage it. Of course, spending your days like your still a kid who doesn't have to worry about anything, can be pretty great. You let go, you stop planning tomorrows, you live the day. And we all still do that. Some less, some more. Careless, free, worryless... No wonder people don't wanna grow up. I don't wanna grow up. But days go by, weeks are shorter than they used to be and years literally fly by. And before we know it, we are thrown into the big, bad world and we have to make it work or be eaten alive. What I'm tring to say is that the older we get, those childlike days are less and less often. And it's right that way. Being a grown up is not all bad. You get to be your own master, you get to experience new things, you get to do what you like and you get to be with the person you've picked to spend you're life with. You get to play the adult one for a change. Besides, how can you miss your younger years if you never let them go? When the time comes, you have to let go of those carefree days and take a step into a new chapter of your life. And you have to enjoy it, because they can be fun too. And because you'll miss them too, one day. So when the time comes, you have to move on.

Because nobody gets to be forever young. And because all children, one day, grow up.

A freak for TV series

I admit. I'm addicted to tv shows. I don't really know how this started, but I don't think it's going to stop anytime soon. So, I currently watch, try not to be shocked, 13 tv shows. The thing about Tv shows is that once you start watching them and you like what you see, you can't stop. You wanna see the next part and then the next and the next and before you know it, you're hooked. Take it from somebody who's 13-times hooked.
1. Medical tv shows
I watch 3 shows who's main caracters are doctors and that's House M.D., Grey's anatomy and Royal pains. I've started watching the first two on tv and before I knew it, I was already searching for the next part on the internet. House used to be our familiy tradition, every tuesday at 9 pm we sat on our sofa and watch part after part. I have to admit I love his sarcasm. Terribly. Grey's anatomy on the other hand is a ''best friends tv show''. My best friend convinced me to start watching it and now it's something that connects us. The shows has a narrator, the main caracter. And she always has something smart to say at the end of each episode. For example:

''Whoever said what you don't know can't hurt you was a complete and total moron. Because for most people I know, not knowing is the WORST feeling in the world.(...) As surgeons we have to be in the know, but as human beings sometimes it's better to stay in the dark. Because in the dark there may be fear, but there is also hope.''

And the last one is Royal pains. I've just started to watch it, it's very light and entertaining so I've seen all 3 seasons in like 3 weeks.
2. Comedy tv shows
One of my very favourites is absolutely How I met your mother. Fresh stories, fresh ideas, awesome script if you ask me. The main caracter, Ted, is telling his kids the story of how he met their mom. And it's a very long story full of funny adventures of Ted and his friends. Love it. Then there's Mad love, a show of the same directors as the first one. I'm still feeling this one out. Another one is Cougar town. Single camera show, awesome actress, original humor and the best thing is definately no fake laughter in the back. And the most recently found, Love bites, a show made of countless number of couples who either just met, just got together, just got engaged or they're already married. Basically, it goes on about the relationships between two people in love. Really great, can't wait for the next part.
3. Action tv shows
Two shows, CSI Miami - I've been watching it since it came out in 2002 and I would really like to see the ending. Besides, it's quite educational to watch how they use all that science and tehnolog to solve murders. The other one is less serious, Psych. The guy pretends to be psychic and helps the police to solve murders. The dude is funny!
4. Science-fiction tv show
Only one right now, Vampire diaries. It started as a suggestion and became a ''must see the ending'' tv show. It's a story of vampires and love than shouldn't exist. Plus hot actors if I may say.
5. Drama tv shows
These are all more or less a ''must see the ending'' shows. I've been watching Desperate housewives for a few years now and I'm going to see the end of it if it kills me. Besides, I kind of like this one because of the never ending complications, some even funny. Pretty little liars is a total teenage drama, but I got hooked so what the hell. And the last one is Gossip girl. A very popular show about rich kids that have too much money and are able to find trouble on every step of the way.

In the end, I'd like to say something about tv show that I've watched but it's already reached its end and that's Greek.  Man I loved that show. I saw every episode of it twice (up till now). Yup, I reaaaally liked it. It's about college kids that are a part of the greek sistem, you know, the fraternities and the sororities. The main caracters are Casey and Cappie and their on and off relationship. There's also a lot of parties and interesting twists to the story so it's kind of a drama/romance/comedy show. Definately my favourite one. I was so heartbroken to find out it was going to end, I even cried while watching the very last part. This is also one of those shows with great quotes in it. Like: ''As for finding the one, I think that if it's meant to be, eventually it will be''.

So that's it. All of my shows. When I watch them, I live them. When I live them, I can quote them. How could I not, I love them! I'll end this blog with another awesome Grey's anatomy quote:

“You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be, white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true.”
